Dee Dee Benkie’s Racist Tweet

Posted by | August 5, 2014 09:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Top Stories

Dee Dee Benkie, a ‘Republican strategist,’ usually gets attention by making shallow remarks such as “If you don’t want to be called fat, then don’t be fat!” and now she’s weighing in on “whitey.”

A Twitter user jumped in to call her a “vacuous idiot” and she responded by suggesting that it was racist for him to say that.

Dear Ms. Dee Dee: If you don’t want to be called a c#nt, then don’t act like a c#nt.

(My apologies to those who may be offended. But not really, since I follow the Republican Apology Propaganda Explanation Requirements — known as the GOP R.A.P.E.R. Strategy)

She just looks like one of those people who are desperately trying to get laid. Maybe if she got an attitude adjustment, she would have better luck with that.

She’s ugly and a racist. Good combination if you like white sheets and rednecks….

Don’t even go there with the ugly card describing conservatives. Have you seen the visual abominations from your party, as activists, politicians, commentators, etc.? Careful.

      • Anomaly 100 August 5th, 2014 at 21:02

Not so fast. Want a rundown of your own party, especially the racists in the tea party? I’ve been watching them since they descended on Washington with misspelled signs.

        Careful.

        • MacDaddio August 5th, 2014 at 22:24

Stop fighting crc3’s battles for him .. and stop aping my words, try something original. And back to his point, if you honestly believe your party is so full of beautiful women that you have to knock a conservative’s looks, you need to visit the nearest eye doctor. Fast.

No it isn’t my biggest concern .. I wasn’t the one who brought up the subject, just pointing out the error of his ways. Take it up with your brethren.

I did go there because she is what she is and I call them like I see them. If conservatives want to be bigots and haters they can but I will continue to call them out whether you like it or not!

        • MacDaddio August 6th, 2014 at 12:55

And I call them as I see them, too. And I see a lot of disgusting, hateful, ignorant, mean-spirited, bigoted, hypocritical, non-tolerant people on your side .. whether you like it or not.

          • CandideThirtythree August 11th, 2014 at 06:36

Just because we are not tolerant of evil?

It is actually our duty as human beings to fight evil and there is nothing more evil in America than a republican.

What bothers me a lot more than idiots like Binkie or whatever the f*ck her name is, are apologists for Republicans and conservatives whose immediate reaction to incidents like this is to whip out the “both sides do it” fairy tale.

Get a grip. Both sides do NOT do it. The ignorant bigots are overwhelmingly conservative. You can spin and deny it to your heart’s content. But the 90% support the Democratic party receives from black voters should be a clue that your spin and reality are two different things.

Black folks see quite well that Binkie and like-minded people are not just tolerated but embraced by the GOP. Fine, you guys go right ahead and do that. We will just keep spreading the word until the Democratic share of the black vote is 100%, and I guarantee you, it will not be because we want “free stuff”.

    • Bianca Bradley August 5th, 2014 at 13:51

It certainly wasn’t the gop calling rice an uncle tom. Nor was it the the gop bashing steele.

This is a very thoughtful rebuttal, Bianca. You have given us all quite a bit to ponder.

      • Nolan Fergus August 5th, 2014 at 20:32

When anyone talks about black people in general the way that “black conservatives” talk about black people in general, I don’t have an ounce of sympathy for anything said about “black conservatives”. Allen West. Jesse Lee Peterson. Ben Carson. Shall I name more and link you to how these “black conservatives” say the most disgusting and vile things about the black population in this country? Spare me the phony outrage.

        • M D Reese August 6th, 2014 at 00:23

As does Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

Or does racism not count when it’s directed to Jews?

    • R.J. Carter August 5th, 2014 at 14:04

Because there is no racism from the Democrats since the Civil Rights Act was passed. Except for when there is. The Democrats are just better at branding themselves as the party that’s without racism.

90% of the black electorate disagrees with your conclusion.

        • R.J. Carter August 6th, 2014 at 09:26

96% actually. And that doesn’t mean they’re right. A well-known black man once told me that a white man running for president with all of Obama’s statements, intentions, and goals would not have drawn anywhere near that number.

      • M D Reese August 6th, 2014 at 00:21

Democrats are not the party that is trying to prevent as many people of color from voting as they possibly can, and gerrymandering districts to ensure that people of color are rarely elected. They can’t win by being open and honest and above board and actually appealing to people of color–they have to lie and cheat and try to shave votes. It’s really really un-American.

        • R.J. Carter August 6th, 2014 at 09:28

Perhaps they are in your state. I’m in Illinois. We have completely un-gerrymandered districts like 4 and 17, which aren’t in any way designed to appeal to race.

          • M D Reese August 7th, 2014 at 22:08

Pretty much every red state has been trying to make it as difficult as possible to vote if you don’t fit the GOPTP prime demographic.

I have spent time in western Pennsylvania, and it’s one of the most impoverished, economically depressed areas of the nation. Every, single thing assplugs like her complain about black people doing whether it’s being on SNAP, getting free medical care, being shiftless, and lazy….all those things are done by WHITE PEOPLE in Appalachia. Republicans HATE to face the fact that white, poor people are a real thing, and that they are impacted by poverty in the same way blacks and teh browns are.

    • NativeSonKY August 5th, 2014 at 19:08

As a clerk at a convenience store in rural Kentucky, I can attest to the FACT that I have 3x the amount of White EBT customers than people of color. And I have 1 (ONE) Mexican family who finally got some help after working here for 8 years and finally getting the proper paperwork to be eligible for food stamps. This is NOT a race-based program by any means.
