Sarah Palin: There Is No There There
“I am not going to subscribe to Sarah Palin’s $9.95 per month,” McCain said on Monday during her Pivot show TakePart Live. “I got all the Sarah Palin I need for one lifetime.”
And then to add a bit of media analysis to it, McCain continues:
“I don’t know how this is different than a blog with video posts,” McCain said. “It didn’t look like a video channel. Glenn Beck has The Blaze, which is an actual channel you can turn to on television.”
McCain brings up a good point, comparing free-range conspiracy theorist Glenn Beck to Palin. Beck has his small but devoted following on the Blaze, and we’re sure that Palin will have her small subscriber base, too.
But they are both now niche players, people to whom the Republican power players will probably never return calls. The mainstream, er, lamestream media doesn’t cover Beck now unless he says something completely unhinged, and we can expect similar reportage on Palin now. She has lost whatever power and credibility that she ever had.
Meghan McCain’s off-hand dismissal of Palin is the proof of that: no one owes Palin a favor, not even the loyal daughter of the man who hung his political career on Palin’s selection as the VP will go there. There is no there there.

It turns out that it was all a big misunderstanding, perhaps someone not picking up on the nuances of her faux drawl.
She’s not starting her own NEWS channel — it’s going to be a MOOSE channel.

And the first major goof is: Nobody thought to buy up similar domain names. Steven Colbert announces he owns thesarahpalinchannel.com. Right now it’s showing her famous Paul Revere’s bell ringing ride video. Sarah Palin, the gift that keeps on giving.
