This story opens with a tragically ironic detail of the global business of weapons of war:
David Hirsch, a.k.a. Dave "Doctor" Gonzo*, is a renegade record producer, video producer, writer, reformed corporate shill, and still-registered lobbyist for non-one-percenter performing artists and musicians. He lives in a heavily fortified compound in one of Manhattan's less trendy neighborhoods.
* Hirsch is the third person to use the pseudonym, a not-so-veiled tribute to journalist and author Hunter S. Thompson, with the permission of his predecessors Gene Gaudette of American Politics Journal (currently webmaster and chief bottlewasher at Liberaland) and Stephen Meese at Smashmouth Politics.

It always seems to come down to the money, doesn’t it? Money if far more important than human rights and human lives. No wonder the Bible says that money is the root of all kinds of evil.

The cost of doing business with a country that has a reckless leader can be higher than anticipated. Putin is very bad for business.

almost makes you wonder if the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium along with the other EU counties that lost someone, is not waiting until the train with their dead gets to a safe place. then maybe they will slap sanctions that will do something on Russia.
But then again you can not say how OUR government will act or react at any given crisis, so who knows how the EU will act or react to this one.
