Darrell Issa’s Latest Circus Has Lawmakers Upset That DOJ Is Fighting Fraud
“In essence, this is a government hit list!” declared Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.), in what could have been confused for a comment on drones.
“Indefensible and irresponsible,” concluded Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-Mo.). “If you don’t like a given industry, bend your authorities and force that industry out of the financial services space, making it impossible for them to survive.”
Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.), perhaps unaware that Congress is less popular than cockroaches, decided to deride the witnesses before the committee because they work for the government.
“You’ve come in here and said, ‘They’ve committed fraud!’ You’re an attorney at DOJ!” Duffy shouted, as if DOJ attorneys were not qualified to identify fraudulent transactions. “We have a bureaucrat in the DOJ who says, ‘I think it’s fraud, and so I’m going to shut down a legitimate business!'”
The Obama administration has not, in fact, shut down any legitimate businesses. And there is no evidence that it has even tried to shut down one because it doesn’t like an entire industry.
What needs to be investigated is Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi! The IRS! And then, Benghazi! Not this petty fraud business, right?

fraud means something is not true.fraud means you are a con artist. fraud is when you are amoral and only think about your best interest while hurting others. yep, that sounds like the gop. investigate away mr. holder. petty means the fraud is small. but could become larger if left unchecked. no wonder the gop are having a tandrum. they have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

I would think Issa would recognize the definition of fraud since he has been perpetrating it on his own state every since he managed to get his law breaking self elected. On the other hand he is a GOPer so lacks the brain cells to differentiate between the laws that he breaks and has broken and will continue to break in the future.

I am wondering if Felon Issa should be tossing around the word “fraud” so easily. It might remind people that he should be in jail for auto theft, not running the Congressional Lynch Mob Squad of Dunderheads.

Issa is continuing to make himself and the entire Teapublican party look very foolish. Well, folks, that is A-OK with me as perhaps the voting public will have had enough and throw out any Republican running in the midterms elections. Now, what we who are progressives have to do is do all in our power to be sure that all of us exercise the right to vote.

Unlikely, the approval ratings for Congress have been abysmal for years and yet people continue to vote the incumbent, who is a part of that same Congress they hate. Oh wait, their guy isn’t like the rest and is on the side of the people. Every single one of them . . .

Well now, who better to stand in moral judgement of others than a petty car thief? Where’s Tom DeLay and Turdblossom Rove when you need them to lecture us on political and moral ethics?

Of course the GOP would not want any investigation or charges brought up on an industry where usury funds the campaigns they have to run.

Dark money is just one of the reasons republicans have for MANY years been fabricating scandals. This is a long but very interesting article
