Conservatives Intentionally Making Their Cars Spew Black Smoke To Stick It To Obama, Liberals
Meet the newest form of Conservative protest: Coal runners. It’s also highly disrespectful to everyone around them and the planet they/we live on. Conservatives in pickup trucks intentionally pour out black smoke into the air, for freedom and stuff. They do this to stick it to liberals and Obama. Seriously.
“Coal Rollers” are diesel trucks modified with chimneys and equipment that can force extra fuel into the engine causing dark black smoke to pour out of the chimney stacks. These modifications are not new, but as Slate’s Dave Weigel pointed out on Thursday, “rolling coal” has begun to take on a political dimension with pickup drivers increasingly viewing their smokestacks as a form of protest against environmentalists and Obama administration emissions regulations, according to Business Insider.
Image: FacebookEven worse, this form of protest is gaining in popularity.
Business Insider reports:
Last month, Vocativ noted many coal rollers focus their fumes on “nature nuffies,” or people who drive hybrids, and “rice burners,” or Japanese-made cars.
“The feeling around here is that everyone who drives a small car is a liberal,” a roller named Ryan told Vocativ. “I rolled coal on a Prius once just because they were tailing me.”
Weigel spoke to a seller of coal rolling customization equipment who described why some drivers see spewing smoke as a political protest.
“I run into a lot of people that really don’t like Obama at all,” the salesperson said. “If he’s into the environment, if he’s into this or that, we’re not. I hear a lot of that. To get a single stack on my truck—that’s my way of giving them the finger. You want clean air and a tiny carbon footprint? Well, screw you.”
On a Facebook page which is dedicated to this new form of protest, they’ve garnered about 16,000 followers and over 100,000 rolling coal posts have appeared on Instagram and Tumblr.
With this explosion in online attention, the battles between coal rollers and their environmentalist enemies are playing out in social media pages, Youtube videos and internet comment sections. Many of the rolling coal Facebook pages feature memes (like the one pictured on the right) that mock hybrid drivers and liberals. Coal rollers have also posted videos showing their trucks blasting more environmentally efficient cars with smoke.
Opponents of the practice have also taken to the internet. Weigel noted “a mid-June surge of comments” from progressives attacking coal rolling social media pages in the wake of the Vocativ article. In 2012, one outraged YouTube user posted a video entitled “Victim Of Coal Rolling” that showed a pickup shooting fumes at his car.
“Blow your smoke at me you son of a bitch,” the driver says in the video.
Comments on the pickup driver’s side of the argument weighed in.
Because, Confederate coal.
One alleged human replied, “What a loser you are, ain’t nothing wrong with rolling some confederate coal.”
“Stupid ricers. what were you gonna do you bitch?” another supposed human chimed in.
Conservatives are just awful people. Case in point:
“This is hilarious. And it freedom of expression – lefties want to make everyone drive small underpowered vehicles,” one YouTube commenter wrote. “This is a protest to that ideology, and it’s beautiful.”

That’s right, kill the earth and make its inhabitants sick. Of course, we must be wrong because, let’s face it, the conservatives are always “right.” This kind of absolute stupidity and in your face hatred of all that is societally responsible is a physical display of just how patently wrong the GOP voters are. Truly, in addition to all the obvious detriment to planet and people, this is a real accident danger for the driver who looses temporary vision in this black cloud. Were these people dropped on their heads as children? And, how is it that midstream conservatives can continue to vote red when it is so obvious the extremists will never allow the party to play responsibly, much less in a way that is actually legal and moral?

Dumbasses! These “coal rollers” are going to pay for it dearly — at the pump. These damn fools are too blinded by their hatred of the government and of environmentalists to realize that it’s going to cost them a lot more money at the fuel pump because their “coal rollers” WASTE FUEL and they’ll have to “fill ‘er up” a lot more often. How stupid can you get?
ShelleysLeg July 7th, 2014 at 18:35
And diesel fuel is WAAAAY more expensive than any other kind!! LOL!! Well, less money for guns and ammo for the ‘viagra vigilantes’!

Way to sensationalize something that a handful of idiots are doing. I love the standard liberal checklist going on here:
Generalize all conservatives as racist? Check
Denigrate the South as a bastion of right wing lunacy? Check
Paint all conservatives as people who hate minorities, women, the environment, healthcare, and progress? Check
Blame Bush for all current problems? Check
Trumpet Fox News as a propaganda tool while ignoring all other media outlets (MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC) who tout themselves as objective news sources yet consistently underreport or totally ignore any story that would disrupt a liberal agenda? Check
Smugly tout yourself as extremely tolerant and progressive, yet fail to see any hypocrisy in calling conservatives racist, ignorant rednecks? Check

Is it hypocrisy if it is true?

Phonicsmonkey… pointing out that an alarmingly high number of conservatives (definitely not the majority, but waaaaay too many) are racist, ignorant, or redneck is not “intolerance” or “anti-progress”. That’s just a stupid thing to say.
Being intolerant of intolerance is hypocrisy? You… DO realize what you’re saying, correct?

Mr. President, perhaps then you could do more to promote vaccines and immunization. Within one generation, all these flat-earthers would be gone, from self-inflicted ignorance and their own opposition to common sense.
Alternately, we could encourage them to try breathing their own smoke in a closed garage, washed down with a drink from the local fracking-polluted water well. Maybe that’ll learn ’em about how “natural” elements which man produces in excess can actually kill. It seems they won’t quite understand any lesson short of seeing it for themselves first hand.

“Yeah, I support pollution!” Are you just stupid or what? This article will give the idiots of our nation something to “hate Obama and rally around” like school yard bullies trying to act tough by wearing the same article of clothing. If it is so popular, as this article suggests, then I wonder why this is the first time I have heard of “coal rolling” which sounds like something the author of this piece made up. Just as stupid and twice as juvenile. Too bad these people are so insecure that they only way they can make themselves feel better is to do something that basically might as well be hanging a sign on themselves that says, “I am an a**hole and proud of it.” We aren’t supposed to be able to tell that from outside your vehicle. For all I know, this guy took a picture of one truck doing this and is selling “coal rolling devices” for trucks.

I’m a trust fund baby and have more money than I know what to do with, I don’t mind tickets or fines, and I really enjoy watching liberals flip out. You know, just when you’ve thought you have lived to see almost everything & anything, we get this. This is being way beyond your average ideologist and principled fundamentalist–no, this is a combination of the conservative small-mind, where
hate and stupidity forms their every warped souls. Just about everyone knows
diesel fuel is highly toxic with 86% of it being carbon. When you are living with
people who believe that science is poisonous and facts do not matter–that is
an insurmountable wall to overcome. Just to think in today’s political toxic stew,
caring about the planet and environment now gives you the label of ‘leftist’ to
where black smoke is blown in their faces and dirt continually thrown upon them.
Read an article last week where Obama wants to ramp up funding and action for
our eroding infrastructure. On this feed, people who thought it was a good idea
for doing this with all the revenue, jobs creation and economical growth, were
labeled “socialists”. It was mind-blowing to see how people are so wrapped
into an ideology that it blinds them from reality. Anything that President Obama
is for–they are against–even if it were positions they vehemently supported in
the not so long ago past.
If you blow plumes of black smoke to make a political statement against the
EPA and President Obama makes you a very dysfunctional human being with
a very dysfunctional way thought process. “Dyslexic patriotism”.
