President Obama To John Boehner: F**k Your Lawsuit

On the heels of House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) decision to file a lawsuit against President Obama for Presidenting While Black, the President announced this afternoon that he will take any and all executive actions he can in order to fix our immigration system. In a fifteen-minute Rose Garden address, Obama lashed out at Republicans in the House who have obstructed comprehensive immigration reform, while praising those in the House and Senate who have shown willingness to compromise. Then, he dropped the E-bomb.

“…there are others in the Republican caucus and the House who are arguing they cannot act because they’re mad at me about using my executive authority too broadly,” the President said, a fairly direct reference to Boehner’s lawsuit, adding, “This also makes no sense. I do not prefer taking administrative action. I would rather see permanent fixes to the issue we face.”

But then, the President broadened the scope of his argument somewhat, adding that not only is this true of immigration, but also the minimum wage and equal pay. “There are whole bunch of things where I would greatly prefer Congress actually do something,” he said. “I take executive action only when we have a serious problem, a serious issue, and Congress chooses to do nothing.”

Returning to immigration and the current crisis around unaccompanied children being apprehended at the border, the President said, “America cannot wait forever for them to act. That is why today, I am beginning a new effort to fix as much of our immigration system as I can on my own, without Congress.”

Obama announced several steps, including a review, by Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, of “additional actions my administration can take, within my existing legal authorities, to do what Congress refuses to do, and fix as much of the immigration system as I can.”

“I expect a recommendation before the end of the summer,” he continued, and added “I intend to adopt the recommendations without further delay.”

Then, he dropped the mic, and walked the fuck off, while Joe Biden kicked the podium over on its side. Or, at least, they should have. Here are the President’s full remarks…READ MORE

As the ‘do nothing congress’ fumbles and stumbles and wastes even more taxpayer money, they can only make Democrats, women, minorities and sane people angry enough to get out and vote in the mid terms. I’m hoping this latest bit of asshattery backfires big time on republican jackasses who have proven time and time again they only care about wielding power and have absolutely no interest in governance of our nation.

If Liberats and Progressives are smart, they will drop the phrase “midtern elections” and start using “congressional elections”, combined liberally with “throw the bums out” and “fire the do-nothing Teabaggers.”

Very good point. The messaging about the importance of every election should be addressed and not it’s lack of importance.

Suing the president for doing his job. Because even voting to repeal the ACA 52 times just isn’t getting that GOP Congress approval rating below 9 percent.

We have plenty of laws on the books. All the Presidente has to do is insure they are enforced. swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.

    • Margie Bateman Osgood July 1st, 2014 at 20:20

Some of those laws need to be revisited as they haven’t been upheld since before 9-11, dontcha think?

We cannot confirm that, after the interview, someone allegedly asked the President what the three branches of government were, to which he may have allegedly responded, “Me, myself and I.”

    • arc99 July 1st, 2014 at 11:39

I can confirm that the Roget Company has recently updated their thesaurus and added a 3-word synonym for doing absolutely nothing of any value.

      Republicans in Congress.

    • Saint_Augustine July 1st, 2014 at 13:08

When asked who the most important people are in Washington D.C., John Boehner replied, “Lobbyists and bartenders.”

You can always count on a right winger to bear false witness. They feel that it is acceptable to sin against their own president for their ideology. That is why their ideology is an evil one.

It’s about time Obama calls out the worthless Repulsives!! As for Boehner and his cronies I say f-you! Law suit with tax payers money? Not a chance if I have anything to say about it. If anything the citizens of this country need to sue Boehner and all of his cronies for doing NOTHING for the past six going on seven years. If the ultimate outcome is a full scale revolution to get our country back so be it. We start with voting the Repulsives out and if that doesn’t work then the only alternative I see is revolution!

    • granpa.usthai July 1st, 2014 at 11:28

not in favor of uncontrolled violence such as the WHITE Racist armed Insurrection by the Bundy Sedition under the leadership of CIC Sandoval, as the powers of the US Executive Branch include the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the Capitol Police? Most, if not all of the GOP opposition to this POTUS has placed the National Security of The United States of America in unnecessary jeopardy under The 102601 Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act; a law that was unanimously approved by some of the now most grievous offenders. (only took 45 days to write, deliberate, legislate, pass by the Representatives and Senators, and signed into LAW by POTUS GW Bush (R) and upheld by the SCOTUS! I say if this POTUS has the LAW on his side, use it!

      • crc3 July 1st, 2014 at 11:42

What if he doesn’t use the law to his advantage? What then? Just sit back and watch this already deeply divided country continue to crumble under capitalistic fascist rule?

    • mea_mark July 1st, 2014 at 11:33

It does kinda seem to be heading that direction. We seem to be being pushed though. I wonder, who would profit from tearing America apart, and should we not be looking for who that is?

How do you define ‘revolution’? And what country are you trying to get ‘back’? And do you need any signs for your movement, because I know where the Tea Party contracts theirs.

This is something POTUS Obama should have done at his very early acceptance speech in his 2012 VICTORY ELECTION over notpotus LOSER Romney. I believe many American Citizens (most of whom the Greedy Old Perverts would deny the vote) will stand with POTUS Obama as long as he keeps standing up to the WHITE Racist Republiklans and does his Duty of the office of POTUS.
Keep up the good work of ensuring EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL CITIZENS, Mr. President, and upholding the CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF ALL within the jurisdiction of The United States of America – including the legal proclamation for Refugee Status, and PROTECTION against WHITE Racist Radicals who would do them harm.
