Putin Sends Gift, Calls Bush 41 On His 90th Birthday

So, skydiving wasn’t the only unusual event on the 90th birthday of George H. W. Bush.

…the also received a phone call and a gift by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Yes, they spoke at 2 p.m.,” Bush spokesman Jim McGrath told Business Insider. “President Putin also sent a portrait. … It is a portrait of President Bush as a young Navy ensign in his dress whites.”

In addition to the attention from Mr. Putin, the 41st president and former CIA director was also wished a happy birthday from the Kremlin’s official Twitter page,
