Taliban Threatened Bergdahl’s Life If Deal Was Made Public

This is the reason President Obama didn’t inform Congress about the deal to release Bowe Bergdahl.

The threat, — not just concerns that Bergdahl’s health might be failing — drove the Obama administration to quickly make the deal to rescue him, the officials said Thursday. The threat was transmitted by Qatari officials at the height of the negotiations, they said.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel was referring in part to the threat when he said Sunday that “there was a question about his safety,” the officials told the senators in a closed-door briefing on Wednesday.

Breaking news… Nobody of sound mind would trust today’s GOP to keep a secret and not blame the POW’s death on POTUS Obama. Repubs admitted being notified hours before the POW’s release. Facts remain buried when it doesn’t suit repubs meme de jour.

…but without Limpbag’s ‘expert’ military anal y sis, how was the CIC able to make a military decision that RepubliCONs would be willing to support? Does anyone remember the Viagra addict giving the go ahead for the swap?

Here’s an article from WaPo about the classified briefing senators were given Wednesday, after which they immediately ran to the media to flap gums. Sounds like the administration made the right call after all. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2014/06/04/senators-shown-bergdahl-video-that-taliban-provided-white-house-before-trade/

It is the same inverse “logic” right wingers used in Benghazi.

    3,000 dead on 9/11/2001 = no problem.
4 dead on 9/11/2012 = hearings, investigations, impeachment

4,400+ military fatalities in a war for weapons that did not exist = no problem
6 military fatalities( maybe) lost in a search for an alleged AWOL soldier = hearings, investigations, impeachment

If the above all makes perfect sense to you, you just might be a right winger; but definitely not smarter than a 6th grader (or a 1st grader for that matter).
