    just plain stupid. All those military bases would leave the south. Most all of those states are welfare states so the U.S. of A. would save billions. The border guards needed to keep those intelligent southerners (there are some) from sneaking into the U.S. would be costly though.

    Any state that wants out, we should open the door for them as they leave.

    Then we amend the Constitution mandating that any state which secedes from the union shall be ineligible for reinstatement for a minimum of 50 years. After that time, the Congress shall decide if reinstatement will be considered. If Congress says no, then the state can reapply at 10 year intervals into the future. If after 100 years, reinstatement has not occurred, that state no longer has the right to apply for reinstatement

      I will agree 100% if the southern states recall all of their trailer park citizens
      I might even pay for a few one way bus tickets
