Scott Walker Better Concentrate on 2014, Not 2016

Governor Scott Walker is commonly mentioned as a GOP candidate for President in 2016.  But before that happens, he has to get reelected Governor of Wisconsin.  And that may not be easy:

…the much-respected Marquette Law School poll run by the estimable Charles Franklin has a new survey out today showing Walker losing the seven-point lead he had in March and standing dead-even with Democrat Mary Burke at 46% each. Worse yet for Walker, there are signs the deterioration of his position is mainly attributable to steadily improving name ID for Burke, which still has a long way to go to match his.

A loss in this election would doom his 2016 chances.

It would be a mistake to underestimate Scott Walker and the Koch money that supports him. Ironic that he owes the possibility of becoming President to some old-fashioned socialists:

It’s also the reason why all eyes will be on Wisconsin this November:

That’s true. The Koch money got him re-elected.

The fix is in. With the Kochs and Walker his self being the crooks they are, and with voter suppression happening in Wisconsin as in other states, Walkers chances are good. He survived the re-call, fighting dirty all the way, and there’s no reason to doubt he won’t do the same in November.
