Immigrants And Their Children To Account For 85% Of Workplace Growth Over Next 20 Years

As baby boomers retire and new immigrants arrive, they workplace will change dramatically between now and 2030.

Who are these new workers? Many of them will be native-born Americans, but they’re having fewer kids than in the past, which means one out of three new workers will be immigrants and their children. Of the 83 million new workers, many will replace those who are leaving, while others will fill jobs created by the growing economy. Over the next two decades, immigrants and their children will account for up to 85% of our country’s workforce growth.
