Comedian Nick Prueher of the Queens-based Found Footage Festival showcased his fake skills as a fake chef while appearing on five local stations in the Illinois and Wisconsin area last holiday season. The Long Island City resident posted a video of his appearances as chef Keith Guerke, who allegedly wrote the recipe book “Leftovers Right: Making A Winner Of Last Night’s Dinner.”
The book includes recipes such as mashed potato ice cream cones and smoothies with raw cranberries, pumpkin pie and pieces of turkey for protein.
Trouble is a hardcopy of the book doesn’t exist, the 38-year-old told the Daily News.
The comedian who tours with his partner Joe Pickett showing funny clips of old VHS tapes, said he got the idea for the fake bit a few years ago while appearing on these shows to promote his tours.
