“Oh, but those good Christian media celebrities would never do anything untoward – they’re all decent, Godly people!” We found one that makes Jim Bakker look like Dale Carnegie:

A former Christian radio host tried to serve both God and money—and talked his way into an unholy Ponzi scheme.

Gary Gauthier has been arrested for milking 38 elderly Florida residents out of a total of $6 million. Along with his partner, 54-year-old David Dreslin, Gauthier lured the senior citizens into his net with promises of 8% to 40% returns on their investments. Many of the victims ended up losing their life savings.

“It messed up my whole life, it really did,” 62-year-old Denise Ferrari told The St. Petersburg Tribune. “These people have no conscience. They damaged my life financially and the dollar amount keeps adding up.”

Dreslin used his accounting practice to find targets, according to court documents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement that were obtained by The News.
