Obama Orders NSA To Curtain Some Of Its Eavesdropping

President Obama has asked the National Security Agency to stop listening in to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Earlier in the week, the president signed an order stopping eavesdropping on the United Nations.

It’s not clear when Obama halted spying on the IMF and World Bank, but his adminstration told Reuters that the NSA is not currently conducting surveillance on either entity.

“The United States is not conducting electronic surveillance targeting the headquarters of the World Bank or IMF in Washington,” a senior administration official told Reuters.
