12-Year Old Student Arrested After Email Warning Of Mass Shooting
Police arrested a California 12-year-old after he allegedly sent school administrators a warning that there would be a mass shooting.
The email threat, sent on Thursday, said that on Monday, Feb. 11, 23 students and a teacher at Twin Peaks Middle School in Poway would be shot, according to a San Diego County Sheriff’s Department release. The email mentioned numerous guns and 3,000 rounds of ammunition.
Detectives identified a student at the school as the possible email sender and served a search warrant at his house on Saturday, seizing several computers, rifles and handguns.
The teacher, who wishes to remain anonymous for safety reasons, says she is on high alert after being mentioned in the email.
