Just heard you questioning someone about the bible. I felt bad for you, Allen. I disagree with you on just about every position but when I heard you on your narrow understanding of biblical truth I no longer see you as a political adversary, I can now only see you as a lost, unguided person with no hope of ever seeing the truth. What a sad thing, and I’m so sorry for you. No person should ever be that lost from God’s purpose…
I will answer the questions you asked: Which version… I’m glad you said “version” and not “translation”. Big difference. Various versions do change some meaning, even in their attempt to make God’s Word more easy to read. But the overall message does not change. I use King James because the history of how that “translation” came about shows the level those 50 or so men that undertook that translation when to preserve God’s Word.
How do we know the Bible is right and not the Koran? Simple, the bible, written by 40 men from 3 different continents, over 1,500 years miraculously tells the single underlying story of Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation. AND it declares itself as the inspired Word of God, AND the events of Jesus Christ, that were written while witnesses were still alive, prove Jesus Christ WAS who he claimed himself to be!
…Praying for you, Allen! I would LOVE to engage you on just biblical discussion, I can, with intellectual honesty, answer your questions… I’m not perfect but I am well studied. But my guess is you really don’t care for the answers and I will be praying that God gets your attention. Look for evidence of this in your life, sir.

Alan, what are you going to do when Romney wins? ie, where are you going to get your daily talking points from? If the president was a democrat and was Donald Duck, you would find something to defend him, its a shame, why can’t you be “fair and balanced”, it would probably make you credible rather than look like a real nut job….
