Giving New Meaning To The Phrase “Do-Nothing”

The graph above shows the laws passed by Congress.  The Congresses considered the least productive are in red (h/t John Sides).  While a lame duck session may move the 112th out of the bottom tier, it won’t be by much.  Now, anti-government folks may consider this a good thing.  But I’m betting that drought-stricken farmers, those who lost their jobs or houses in the recession, or those who are seeing teachers and fire fighters laid off in their communities feel differently.
