Supreme Court Rejects Appeal By Birthers

The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of a lawsuit challenging President Obama’s eligibility for office.

The court upheld a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision upholding a lower court order throwing out the suit that questions Obama’s eligibility as “a natural born citizen,” arguing that because his father was not a U.S. citizen, Obama is ineligible to hold the presidency.

The lawsuit was filed by Alan Keyes and other plaintiffs.
