The War On The War On Voting

Democrats have won the popular vote in five of the last six elections.  Republicans realize that the more people that vote, the worse their chances of winning are.  So they have attempted to restrict the vote in state after state.  But the Obama Administration is fighting back.

In Ohio, Obama for America helped gather over 300,000 signatures, successfully blocking Republican efforts to restrict early voting. In Wisconsin, efforts are focusing on voter education to counter the state’s new voter ID law, which bars students from using their college IDs when voting.

The Republican assault on voting rights will not go unanswered.  In 2008, President Obama and his staff ran one of the great campaigns of all time.  They are raising enough money now to repeat the feat in 2012.  And they know that to win, some of the money will need to be spent protecting the rights of their voters.
