Did you have a problem with President Obama’s speech from the Oval Office the other night?

Well, maybe you should have studied a bit harder.

According to Paul J.J. Payack, president of Global Language Monitor, the speech was written to a 9.8 grade level. Payack said Obama’s 19.8 words per sentence, “…added some difficulty for his target audience.”

Maybe this is why the Sarah Palins and Michele Bachmanns of the world are really connecting with Americans. Just about everything they say sounds like the chorus from that country song by Billy Currington – God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.
